Take my situation right now ...I just finished writing my debut novel, _The Watchman of Ephraim_ and I want to kiss every single one of you (I'm Italian, we kiss men too)!
...I want to do a happy naked dance like the one King David did when he returned from battle!
...I want to drink a bottle of my favorite barolo wine, fly to Brooklyn and eat an entire large pizza from Frank's on Flatbush Avenue and make passionate love to my wife (perhaps, not in that order and hopefully my in-laws will close their eyes over the last sentence if they're reading this)!
...I want to go into my garage, grab my axe and turn up my old cranky Marshall amp and start jamming to AC/DC's Back in Black album (the last time I did that, one of my neighbors called the police on me)!
...I want to smoke a real Cuban cigar!
...I want to get together with friends and just hang out and smile and laugh!
I know there's still a ton of work to be done ...I start editing the novel Sunday ...then there's beta reading and more editing ...I have to create query letters for literary agents and proposals for publishers...
It will take a lot of effort to get the book out, that's for certain.
...but right now, I'm just going to thank God for his blessings and I wanted to share the moment with all of you ...my friends!
p.s. I'll probably end up taking my wife and kids to a local pizzeria <sigh... I miss Brooklyn pizza> and then returning home, turning on the TV in my bedroom and falling asleep while I watch a rerun I taped of Star Trek: The Next Generation ...but I'll do all of the above in my dreams! 9-)
